In HURR Wardrobe: Stacey Dooley

Welcome to a very special edition of In HURR Wardrobe with STACEY DOOLEY. Her 2018 documentary, Stacey Dooley Investigates: Fashion’s Dirty Secrets, was a massive eye-opener for UK consumers and since then Stacey has continued to actively champion more sustainability in the fashion industry and her personal style.

We took a peek inside her home to learn more about her approach to fashion, explored pieces in her wardrobe and why she loves renting fashion with HURR. Also excitingly, she’s now lending some of her own pieces—including a pair of Gucci shoes she wore on Ru Paul’s Drag Race—on HURR too!

How would you describe your style in three words?

Informal, relaxed, tomboy-ish.

On Stacey: Stella McCartney Wool Blazer and Stella McCartney Tapered High-Rise Trousers

What trends are you excited to try?

I'm perhaps not the best person to ask because I'm not particularly fashionable and I don't follow trends! (laughs) I just gravitate toward pieces that I'm going to love for a long time and wear for years.

On Stacey: Benjamin Fox Katerina Top, E.L.V Denim Jeans

What do you love about renting clothes on HURR?

I really love HURR actually! What they've got right is that a lot of the pieces are pieces you'd genuinely want to wear because I think that's half the battle when you're talking about ethical fashion. They've got genuinely cool pieces that you genuinely would want to buy and I think that's the secret, I think that's what it's going to take.

What's you hope for the future of fashion?

I think it's sort of inevitable that we are going to be forced to shop more sensibly. We're running out of time. I think in five, ten years' time things hopefully... we'll be forced to shop in a different way.

What's one item already in your wardrobe you're going to wear on June 21?

When we're allowed to go and live our lives... (holds up a pair of Gucci shoes) I think a gold situation in celebration!

On Stacey: Aje Prima Midi dress

You can now rent pieces from Stacey Dooley's wardrobe, Including pieces from Gucci, Chanel and Ganni, exclusively on HURR!
