This is what Team HURR wears to work

Discover the key pieces and inspirations that build the wardrobes of Team HURR in their everyday essentials for work.

Ollie, Head of Product

What's your go-to office uniform?
Usually a white Everlane tee or a Pedro Del Hierro shirt under a classic half zip jumper from Massimo Dutti or Armand Thiery. I tend to rotate between a few different pairs of Levi’s jeans and a pair of Spoke chinos, depending on the day’s agenda. I almost always couple these up with a pair of black or brown Russell & Bromley suede boots, and for the colder months I tend to wear a White Stuff overcoat paired with a Johnstons of Elgin scarf.

What's the most sentimental piece you own?
I was lucky enough to be gifted a very unique Fangio Limited Edition TAG Heuer Carrera chronograph which has the face of Formula 1 legend Juan Manuel Fangio engraved on its underside. It's an item which I hold very close to my heart and only really bring out on special occasions.

Where do you do most of your online shopping?
It varies but MR PORTER and Lyst are usually my first ports of call for discovering new pieces, closely followed by a selection of my favourite designers’ websites such as Reiss, Sunspel and Massimo Dutti. I would, of course, prefer to be renting my wardrobe rather than buying, but there doesn’t seem to be a good option out there for me yet. If only HURR did menswear…...

What's the best style advice you've ever received?
My grandfather was probably the best dressed person I have ever known, always impeccably smart no matter the occasion. His advice was not to overthink things, stick to the classics and rely on simple colour matches. My team also like to be vocal whenever I mismatch an outfit or wear something that doesn’t suit me, much to my frustration...

Who are your personal style icons?
It’s tough to say but Ryan Reynolds, Daniel Craig and David Beckham would all definitely make an appearance. If I had to pick any one person in particular, though, then it would unsurprisingly have to be Tom Ford — a man who seems physically incapable of ever dressing badly.

Sasha, Head of Operations

What's your typical office outfit?

I’m always rushing around, whether it’s to meetings, our pop up store in Selfridges or evening events, so versatile and practical is a must. A midi dress (a current favourite is a Paper London eBay purchase) or simple high waisted trousers with a bold jumper (Ganni is the best). Without fail a pair of sneakers or boots – I live in Penelope Chilvers and Axel Arigato.

What are your beauty must-haves?

Esteé Lauder’s Advanced Night Repair before bed and Smashbox Studio Skin Foundation with SPF during the day. I don’t like to wear a lot of makeup but always carry a dark lipstick to change my look from day to night – my current favourite is Estée Lauder Pure Color Envy in Undefeated. Oh and I can’t live without Aquaphor lip balm!

What's the most sentimental piece you own?

My mother is a whizz with a sewing machine and over the years we’ve spent many hours trawling through fabric and haberdashery shops all over the world. She made me a black velvet Chinese jacket with red silk lining for my eighth birthday that someone how still fits today!

Style motto you live by?

Whether it’s a big pair of earrings or a bold embroidered jacket, get the basics right and let the statement pieces shine. I recently bought a bag from my friend’s Colombian brand, Magnetic Midnight, which I’m obsessed with and is my go-to statement piece at the moment.

What sets London style apart?

London has the greatest diversity of nationalities than any other city in the world and this is reflected in the no-bounds attitude towards creativity and design when it comes to style.

Victoria, CEO and Co-Founder

What's your typical office uniform?

A long-sleeve maxi dress and Common Projects trainers. I’ve always found dresses much easier to style!

What are your beauty must-haves?

As much sleep as possible, Bio Oil, NARS Sheer Glow foundation and a good shellac.

What's the most sentimental piece you own?

A pair of earrings I was given for my 18th birthday. They're an exact replica of the ones I always admired of my mother's whilst growing up - I've worn them every day for years!

What other city, besides London, do you think has the best style?

Paris, where else for street-style chic.

What fashion rule do you shamelessly break?

I once heard you shouldn’t style navy and black together? But it’s one of my favourite colour combinations!

Who would you swap wardrobes with in a heartbeat?

Sophie Devlin at HURR! But for everyday, I love to @victoriasaceanu.

What's the best style advice you've ever gotten?

To always choose quality over quantity and only buy something you’ll wear more than 30 times.

Sophie, Head of Partnerships

What's your go-to office outfit?
Depends entirely on the day ahead - if it's a day in the office my go to is a comfy pair of Cinza Rocca’s tailored wool trousers and a cashmere sweater. If it’s a busy day of client meetings, it’s a midi dress with a pair of heels thrown in my handbag :)

What's your pre-work morning routine? An ice cold shower followed by a brisk walk through Hyde Park to the office with a quick stop at Cafe Nero for my 5 pump vanilla latte!

What's the most sentimental piece you own?
A vintage Dior bag that my mother kindly gave me - my sister and I argue over it all the time!

What's your favourite season?
Winter - I love suede boots paired with an oversized cashmere knit.

Who would you swap wardrobes with in a heartbeat?
Lauren Santo Domingo - utterly obsessed with everything on Moda Operandi!

Who are your go-to style icons?

The Duchess of Cambridge has been a style icon of mine for a while - I love how her style has evolved over time, mixing high street with high fashion. She is also a huge champion of sustainable fashion, often rewearing the same dress multiple times but with a slight twist.

Mel, Customer Success Manager

What's your go-to office uniform?

Black converse, Rag n Bone chinos, an embroidered white T, and a soft slouchy jumper - French tucked, of course!

What's the most sentimental piece you own?

A seriously vintage piece - a silk ruffled pajama style top that was my grandma’s grandmother’s! It’s yellow and striped and I just love how it was most likely worn as a night shirt but is now totally in-vogue to be worn as a day piece paired with some Levi’s.

You recently joined the HURR team! What did you spend your first pay cheque on?

A dinner at an Israeli pop-up with three friend’s who’d also just got their first paychecks - pre drinks at The Ned and champagne at dinner - so lavish!

Where do you do most of your online shopping?

I’m 5’3” so online shopping doesn’t do wonders for me. If I do it’ll be for tried and tested pieces like my converse which are in need of replacing every so often.

Style motto you live by?

Match your mood.

What's the best style advice you've ever received?

Don’t just copy a style, always add your own personal twist.
