Top 10 Lending Hacks

When it comes to renting out your wardrobe, we’ve put together our top tips to ensure your pieces get the attention they deserve.

So if you’re looking to turn your wardrobe into an investment, we’re here to help you begin your renting journey!

Spot Trends

Look out for the latest Spring/Summer trends that are set to be huge. Purchase items with a view to turning them into an investment, and look for those pieces everyone’s looking for.

Go Designer

Your investment pieces (Gucci, Celine, Prada) will never go out of style. There’s always a market to rent bags, clothing and accessories from iconic brands that will never go out of style.

Concierge Service

If you’re new to HURR with over 30 pieces to list on the site, we’ll send a photographer to your home and upload your items for you. It couldn’t be any easier.

Think Seasonally

To draw other members to your profile, upload seasonal items, depending on the time of year. Focus on outerwear and skiwear for the colder months, and occasion dresses and statement pieces for the warmer temperatures.

Presentation Is Everything

Good photography is key. Photographing each item on a clear white background, (or uploading a photo of you wearing it) will increase the likelihood of your wardrobe making money.

Quality Over Quantity

Here at HURR, we believe curation is key. Rather than listing your entire wardrobe, select your top 15-25 pieces that other members are likely to want and be selective.

Our community is build on trust, so make sure you list all details of an item. This may include any imperfections, or sizing issues (eg. What’s an Australian Size 3?!).

Smart Pricing

If you’re new to HURR, search the platform for similar items to get a feel for pricing. We’ll guide you, but remember that back-to-back rentals are better than one-offs.

Stay Active

Try to respond to rental requests as soon as possible. You have 48 hours to respond to a rental request, aim for 24 hour responses. The more you engage, the more likely your pieces are going to rent!

Remember to look after your pieces in between rentals. Keep any item of clothing in a dry cleaning garment bag, store handbags in their original dustbags and shoes in boxes to preserve their condition.
